I woke up to a partially cloudy, beautiful summer day...

But as I got on the road...heavy clouds moved in and I spent most of the drive in & out of heavy rain!
I must say, I have never been so grateful to cross the border into New Brunswick and see English on the road signs!!!😊 Shortly after crossing into NB I came across a pile of flashing lights and a line of vehicles!

Turns out it was my first ever check stop! But no worries, my blood alcohol level was only 0.04 so they let me through! KIDDING!!! I was clean (as always) and I passed with flying colours! And trust me, if you could see the back of my car you'd be as amazed as I was that they never searched my vehicle like they were doing to others! Guess I looked so sweet and innocent! Lol!😂
Anyway, I was racing against the clock to make it to Phil & Jessica Seely's church in Moncton for their mid-week service! I was about half hour out when all the sudden this torrential downpour started! There was literally 2 inches of water on the road and it was coming down so hard and fast I couldn't see anything in front of me! With 4-way flashers going I slowly plowed my way thru and managed to make it to church just as the message was starting!
It was a blessing to get to meet them and be in their church after supporting them for so many years! On top of it all, they so sweetly opened up their home to me, gave me the guest room for the night, filled me in on lots of things to do and see in PEI and let me do my laundry! So very kind of them!
