I took off to see the lighthouse first as that's supposed to be the main attraction...

To be honest the lighthouse is decidedly unattractive and I'm not quite sure what the drawing feature of it is! BUT the waves and village definitely made up for everything the lighthouse lacked!
Right off the bat the waves grabbed me! Their ruggedly majestic beauty as they crashed and sprayed up on the rocks had me giggling like school girl! I was on FaceTime with my mom and I'm pretty sure between my giddy laughter and talking to an unseen person, everyone there thought I had lost it!😂

Next to the waves, this darling little fishing village made me want to spend the whole day there! It rustic, fishing village charm was a photographer's heaven with so many angles and delightful scenes!

There were piles of lobster traps laying around also...

When I finally managed to peel myself away, I continued in to my night's destination...Port Hawksbury. It's right on the bottom of Cape Breton Island and the plan is to drive the Cabot Trail tomorrow. At the moment it's rainy and foggy and they're calling for more of the same tomorrow...so I'm hoping it clears up!
