Day 16 - PEI

So after a miserably rainy day yesterday, I wasn't sure what to expect today! I woke up to cloudy skies, but by the time I headed out the blue sky was peaking through and not long after it was clear sky!
After a lovely breakfast and a visit with my wonderful hosts, I headed out to do some exploring! Although I didn't get very far because I had to keep stopping to take pictures! There is so much beautiful scenery!

And that beautiful, red soil and those lovely rolling hills...

My first stop was the and of Green Gables museum which was located in the home where L. M. Montgomery wrote many of her books.

This is the parlour where she was married in front of the mantel...
and the organ that was played for her wedding, which is still used today when people choose to get married in this parlour...
I found the true story of the blue chest rather humorous!
And inside was this wedding dress!

The Lake of Shining Waters actually exists!

As I continued on my way, I came across the birthplace of L. M. Montgomery…

And also the super cute gift shop where I'm sure I spent over an hour!

Next I headed on to Green Gables! The house actually belonged to L. M. Montgomery's grandparent's cousins and so she spent a lot of time over there, hence the books being patterned after this place!

Anne's room...
And the kitchen...

I also got to walk through the haunted woods, and along lover's lane! Where I discovered that I am apparently in love with someone and have been since last year! Who knew?! The creepy part is the handwriting actually looked like mine!

I then continued onto Cavendish Beach!

There was the coolest seaweed laying all over the beach!

And I also discovered what happens when you get too close to the water and a big wave washes in!

Oh, and it's the coolest thing! All along their ditches they have the most beautiful wildflowers growing! And I'm over here like how come we have dandelions and they have wildflowers?!

I finally made my way back to that adorably cozy bed and breakfast that I'm staying in!

Where I decided to give my in room whirlpool a whirl! However I think I may have added just a wee bit too much bubble bath!
